1983
The company is established
Fredy Hertli and Alu Menziken found Almatec AG in Schlieren ZH.
1986
The works moves location
Production is relocated from Schlieren to Schüpfheim.
1991
Expansion westwards
A new sales office is opened in Chexbres for the French-speaking market.
1995
The launch onto new markets
Almatec sells ist products internationally from 1995 onwards.
1998
Expertise is bundled
Almatec opens a centre of technical expertise.
2003
Everything from one source
Company founder Fredy Hertli acquires all the shares.
2005
International production
A production site is opened in Kaplice in the Czech Republic.
2007
Development of air-conditioning components
Almatec expands its product range by introducing heating components (such as air-air heat exchangers and air exchange systems).
2008
VTC enters
The participation holding VTC from Germany assumes the share package.
2009
Relocation to Germany
Production is relocated from the Czech Repiblic to Mechernich in Germany.
2012
Take-up into the Knill Group
The share package is acquired by Knill Holding from Weiz in Austria. Production moves to Lich-Eberstadt to the production site of Göhre GmbH.
2016
We expand
The move is made to the new administration building in Schüpfheim in October 2016.
2018
Relocation of production
Production is relocated from Lich-Eberstadt to Nitra in Slovakia in May.
2018
Introduction of the AxK enclosure
Almatec launches a new outdoor enclosure onto the market with the AxK.
